GNSI Auction:

Plans for the summer conference are well under way and it's time to start thinking about what to bring to the GNSI Auction. This auction is held during the Annual Meeting to raise money for the Education Fund. The Fund promotes the educational and outreach activities of GNSI chapters. For those of you who have not attended a GNSI Auction, this much anticipated event begins with a silent auction and ends with an exuberant "live auction". All the items that are auctioned are donated by the GNSI membership and are either brought to the conference or sent ahead to the auction organizers (you do not have to come to the auction to donate an item).
What kind of items are acceptable donations? Everything from art supplies to unique tee shirts, books, handmade stationary, original prints and drawings have been donated. Perhaps most appreciated are really unique, quirky items. (Last summer I successfully bid on a key chain that held a beetle encased in Lucite. I have enjoyed it all winter.) So be creative and start now to think of what you will send or bring to Bar Harbor.
Please include the following information with the item you send or bring: your name, address, telephone number, a description of the item, suggested minimum bid for the item and, finally, whether or not you want a receipt for your donation for tax purposes.

You can send items to:
Jane Neroni
84 Fosdyke Street
Providence, RI 02906

Otherwise bring items with you to the auction. There will be someone at registration to take your donation.
