What can you expect at the GNSI
Auction in Denver? Well, maybe not crocodile toes, but there will
be a dazzling array of unusual items. Our members are creative
and many of them travel the world, so you never know what kind
of exotic items will be donated. Please be sure to attend both
the silent and voice auctions to find out.
You may want to make one contribution or several.
Be creative! Anything with some interest to Natural Science Illustrators
goes. Start with books, illustrations, posters, t-shirts, photographs,
paintings, nature videos, slides and note cards. Go on to tools,
art supplies, skeletons, specimens, magnifying glasses, binoculars
or microscopes. Or how about stamps, rubber stamps, minerals,
jewelry, chocolate frogs, homemade wine or goodies, pressed flower
candles, bugs, butterflies or dried plants? You could offer special
services, such as sketching, computer work, photography or teaching.
Original artwork is always welcome and usually brings a very tidy
sum to the Guild. All proceeds from the auction support the Guild,
so please be generous and use your imagination!
If you can not attend the Denver conference, auction
donations can be mailed in advance to Marjorie Leggitt, 1905 Jasmine
St. Denver, CO 80220.
Thanks!
