TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT

If you fly in and don’t plan to rent a car:

Two of the easiest and most inexpensive means of getting from the airport to campus and back are through SuperShuttle or Denver Mountain Express, two shuttle services which provide regular service between DIA and the DU campus throughout airport operation hours.

Neither shuttle service takes reservations for passengers traveling from the airport, so when you arrive at DIA, take the train to the Main Terminal, then take the escalator up to Level 5 of the airport where you will see Baggage Claim and Ground Transportation signs. Go to either the SuperShuttle or Denver Mountain Express ticket counters in the Ground Transportation area to buy your ticket.

If you use SuperShuttle, the cost of a one-way ticket to the DU campus is $23/person. If you are traveling with others and headed to the same drop-off point, each additional ticket is $10/person. After you have purchased your ticket, the staff at SuperShuttle will direct you to the appropriate shuttle, which will take you to campus and drop you off at Centennial Halls at 1870 South High Street. The residence hall assigned to GNSI for the conference is Nelson Hall, which is approximately three blocks away at 2222 South High Street. The staff at SuperShuttle noted that if you ask the driver, he/she may be able to drop you off right in front of Nelson Hall, depending on various schedule and passenger pick-up factors.

In order to schedule your return trip to the airport, you must call SuperShuttle at 1-800-258-3826 no less than 24 hours prior to your departure from DIA to schedule a pickup at the DU campus. You will be given a time to meet the shuttle at Centennial Halls for your pickup. The same rates apply.

If you use Denver Mountain Express, ticket costs to the DU campus are $18/person for a one-way ticket or $36/person for a roundtrip ticket. When you purchase your ticket, you will need to give the agent your drop-off point, which will be Nelson Hall at 2222 South High Street on the DU campus.

In order to schedule your return trip to the airport, you must call Denver Mountain Express at 303-333-4000 no less than 24 hours prior to your departure from DIA to schedule a pickup at your location on the DU campus.

If you plan to rent a car and drive to the DU campus:

  • Take Pena Boulevard to I-70 West.
  • Take I-70 West to I-25 South.
  • Exit at University Boulevard (Exit 205).
  • Go South (right) on University Boulevard to the third street light, which is Evans Avenue.
  • Turn right on Evans Avenue and go approximately four city blocks to High Street.
  • Turn left on High Street.
  • On High Street go approximately one and a half city blocks.
  • Nelson Hall, the GNSI Conference dorm, is a five-story building at 2222 South High Street on the left.

DRIVING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF DENVER

Traveling either north or south on I-25:

  • Exit at University Boulevard (Exit 205).
  • Go South (right) on University Boulevard to the third street light, which is Evans Avenue.
  • Turn right on Evans Avenue and go approximately four city blocks to High Street.
  • Turn left onto High Street.
  • On High Street go approximately one and a half city blocks.
  • Nelson Hall, the GNSI Conference dorm, is a five-story building at 2222 South High Street on the left.

PARKING ON CAMPUS

Parking passes are available for all conference attendees at a rate of $3/day. You may purchase as many parking passes as you like when you arrive at the front desk of Nelson Hall, the dorm housing GNSI Conference participants. Please note that there is one-hour street parking outside of the dorm where you can park temporarily while registering and picking up your parking passes. The front desk staff at Nelson Hall will direct you to the appropriate parking lot once you have your passes.
