I am very interested in the connections and interactions in nature; how plants and animals mesh and correlate their activities and needs within their habitat, as I’ve shown in this illustration.  A sycamore tree gives nourishment through its leaves, shelter and nest sites in its branches, prevents erosion by its roots, controls temperature by its shade, and gives protection by its leaf litter.

Scientific names: Sycamore tree - Plantanus occidentalis; Bald Eagle - Haliaeetus leucocephalus; Cerulean Warbler - Dendroica cerulea; Sycamore tussock moth - Halysidota harrisii; Eastern gray tree frog - Hyla versicolor; Eastern gray squirrel - Sciurus carolinensis
