This sardine and three other fishes (Northern Bluefin Tuna, Chub Mackerel and European Anchovy) were commissioned to be displayed in an old fish canning factory that is being changed into a museum in the south of Portugal. The museum will open in the summer of 2007 and will use the illustrations in interactive screens informing about the canning process, in large format prints for museum decoration and merchandising.
Resarch: Several fresh sardines were bought, photographed and dissected, specialists were consulted and extensive online and book research was done.
