Purpose: Geology textbook illustration [Physical Geology (Reynolds et al) in press]
The research involved finding an actual location that showed weathering and erosion of at least several different rock types; both 10-meter DEM data and high-resolution landsat imagery had to be available for that location. After modeling and rendering in Bryce, the image was taken into Photoshop for further detailing and painting.
