Guild of Natural Science Illustrators Conference
The Objective of GNSI
The Guild is a non-profit organization of persons employed, or genuinely interested in the field of natural science illustration, having the desire to maintain and further the profession through increased communication of those involved, to encourage and assist others with the desire and capabilities to enter the profession, to promote better understanding of the profession by the general public and those persons requiring natural science illustration services and to increase the respect for the profession through encouraging high standards of competence and ethics.
The GNSI annual conference is a national meeting organized to unite and improve the field of science illustration and illustrators. The 2010 conference will be held at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center located on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh. This is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to education. While you are at the conference you will feel like you are in the lap of luxury, but the good news is you can do that on a scientific illustrator’s budget! The Center boasts two magnificent computer labs for the digital folks among us.
