Even though it gets pretty hot in North Carolina in the summer, you will be nice and confortable in the air-conditioned Wolf Village Apartments and McKimmon Center during the conference! It may be a good idea to bring a light sweater or a long-sleeve t-shirt in case it gets a little bit too chilly inside.

Weather-average temperature in Raleigh: highs in the upper 80's and the lows in the upper 60's. Please be prepared for VERY air-conditioned buildings!

We want you to be very confortable during the conference. Here are some things that will come in handy:

Water Bottles
Light clothing
Hat
Sunglasses
Sunscreen
Insect Repellent
Close-toed footwear for hiking and/or kayaking (for selected fieldtrips)
waterproof bag for water activities (for selected fieldtrips)
light sweater for indoor activities
extra cash (for souvenirs!)

Toileteries
Hangers
Laundry Soap (each apartment is furnished with a washer and a dryer)
Cooking Utensils/Kitchen equipment (each apartment is furnished with a small kitchen)
Dish Soap

Sketching materials
Camera
Binoculars
