Biking

Summer is a beautiful time to be outdoors in Olympia, and exploring by bicycle is a real treat. Enjoy the dedicated bike paths around campus, but prepare to "take the lane" on some of the one-way streets through downtown. Bike parking is plentiful in town and at the college. Don't want to ride up the hill between downtown and TESC? Bikes can ride on the front of Intercity Transit Buses!

Hiking

Olympia is a great town to explore on foot, and the Evergreen State College campus is full of pleasant paths that wind through woods and meadows. Consider planning some time to hike through even more of the stunning natural areas of Washington while you're in the area.
