Olympia is located on the west coast of the United States, in Thurston County, Washington State. Olympia is about 60 miles southwest of Seattle, Washington; 115 miles north of Portland, Oregon; and about 75 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. Olympia is at the far southern edge of the Puget Sound. The GNSI Conference will take place at the campus of The Evergreen State College (TESC), which is about 6 miles north and west of downtown Olympia. The nearest airport to Olympia is the Seattle/Tacoma Airport (Sea-Tac). It is located about 50 miles north and east of The Evergreen State College in Olympia, about a one-hour drive. Bus 2 is the Intercity Transit Bus 601 or 603 (weekdays) or IT Bus 620 (weekends) from the Lakewood Transit Center to the Olympia Transit Center.
