TRAVEL INFORMATION

Walking around campus to the three main sites of the conference activities (Orange dots in the map below) is very easy, a two to three minute walk. The distances between the Dorms, Café and Conference Rooms are similar to those we experienced in Olympia, WA. For those with mobility problems we will have a van available.

Airport
Check prices for flights to Atlanta GA, Savannah GA; and Charleston SC.
- The car ride from Atlanta is about 4 hours.
- If you are renting a car, check the flight costs to Charleston, you may find the 1.5 hour drive to Savannah is worth the Air Fair difference on some airlines.
- Travel time from the Savannah Airport to the College is about 15-20min. 

Car Transport:
From I-95, including Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport 
• Take I-95 to I-16 east.
• Follow I-16 into downtown Savannah; take the Montgomery Street exit.
• Turn left at the first light onto Liberty Street.
• Cross Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (Here Liberty street becomes Louisville Road.)
• Turn left at the first intersection, West Boundary Street
• Boundary Village will be immediately on your right @ 701 W. Jones Street

From Hilton Head, S.C. 
• Take Route 278 West, allowing at least one hour of travel time.
• Take SC Route 170 ramp toward Beaufort.
• Turn left onto SC-170.
• Turn right at the stop sign onto 46.
• Bear left onto SC-170 Alt.
• Turn left onto US-17.
• Go over the Talmadge Bridge. Take the Oglethorpe Avenue exit.
• Turn right onto West Boundary Street continue to Boundary Village
• Boundary Village will be on your right @ 701 W. Jones Street

From Atlanta 
• Take I-75 south to I-16 east.

BUS from Airport
Chatham Area Transit (CAT) buses run to and from the airport on a daily basis, servicing many locations in the Savannah Area. Visit CAT’s web site (http://www.catchacat.org/) or call (912) 233-5767 for details and schedules. Fares start at $1.50. The CAT Teleride transportation system is a door-to-door transportation service available to eligible disabled persons in Chatham County. For details and information on eligibility, call (912) 233-5767.  Bus schedules are a bit patchy on the weekends and may require a bit of walking to make the connections. Expect the trip to take over 1 hour.

Coastal Regional Coaches
Coastal Regional Coaches is the regional rural public transit program that provides demand-response, advance reservation, general public transit service to anyone, for any purpose, and to any destination in the ten-county coastal region. Counties included in the coastal region are: Bryan, Bulloch, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, and Screven.

Regional transit service is available Monday through Friday from 6:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. To schedule a trip please call 1-866-543-6744 at the time you book your flight or at least 24 hours prior to your pick up. (Trips booked for the next day must be scheduled by 3:00 P.M. the day prior.) Follow the telephone prompts to be connected to a dispatcher for service.

Taxi Cab
The following taxicab companies are permitted to pick up passengers at the Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport Terminal. The Taxi rate from the airport to the historic district (location of the conference) is currently $28.00.
