Welcome to the GNSI Greater DC Chapter web page.
We are a chapter of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators- serving members of the Guild in the Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland area. We also welcome visits to our meetings by non-members who have an interest in Science and Art!

Check out what we do. View selected reports of the doings at our monthly meetings (see the navigation frame). If you would like to join us for the fun and fellowship we would love to see you at a meeting.

Price Guessing

We all face one endless question: how do you price your work? What exactly did someone get for that eye-popping cover? What did they get for that series of black and white line pieces? That use on a Web site?

Join us for an enjoyable annual tradition, and a highly enlightening experience. We encourage everyone to bring an example of a finished project, or one still in progress. A round table format will offer everyone interested the opportunity to present information about a project, and then everyone else gets to guess the selling price.

Not all projects are created equal, so don't hesitate to bring you triumphs, disasters, and work in progress. Those without a project are encouraged to attend as well, everyone is welcome! We guarantee you will come away wiser from this meeting.

Techniques such as field macro-photography, digital drawing, hi-mag imaging, kryogenic SEM and more. All are applicable in many fields of study, and the wise science illustrator should find out what is coming down the pike!
